Hi, I’m Alison Olt Kerr ND, RYT (she/her). I graduated from Bastyr University with a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine in 2001 and now have 18 years of clinical experience as a licensed ND in Washington. For over 30 years, yoga practice has been part of my life, and I currently hold an RYT-500 hour yoga teacher certification, with advanced dual certification in Neurogenic Yoga and Tension/Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE™). In the summer of 2025, I completed a three-year Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Seattle University and now serve a diverse population with a dual license as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LMHC.)

I may use a blend of theories in treatment, but my goal is to align the work with evidenced-based interventions, including but not limited to Neurocounseling, Lifestyle Counseling, Relational-Cultural Theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal and Social Rhythm Therapy, and Narrative Theory. My primary area of research is the impact of chronic stress, medical stress, and medical trauma, and I primarily work with adults, but do have training in and am open to working with children and adolescents. I believe in a relational and strength-based approach to counseling, with a deeply held belief in the power of the connection between mind and body.

On a less professional jargon/more personal note, I’m a human who carries many identities, including being someone who’s lived with chronic illness and pain for close to 20 years. I’m a 24+ year military spouse, mother to three teens and young adults, dog mama to 2 ridiculous Labradors, and I love to move, preferably in nature. You’ll find me walking, running, backpacking, skateboarding, mountain biking, surfing, paddleboarding, dancing, and skiing; I’m willing to give most anything a go!
